Allow me to introduce myself.....My name is Leah E. Sweeney and I am the Senior Vice President of Sweenz, Inc. ! I started this afternoon! Good things are happening....I can feel it. I went to the County for my last 1/2 day this morning. My department all went to Pizza Hut for a "going away" lunch. It was so nice of everyone to come and bid me farewell. I've worked with these people that I've become friends with for the past 6 years so it was emotional for me. I got a few hugs and made several promises to stop by when I'm in the building, still come to pay day lunch, and of course...happy hour :) I will miss them all but thankfully I'll still get to see them, especially since I just moved to the other side of the old courthouse! There will stil be afternoon trips to Kelly's for coffee and my weekly run to CVS for goodies like Sno-Caps :) So, I left Pizza Hut and headed to Sweenz, Inc. I spent the first hour unpacking all my stuff, setting up my desk, and getting things organized. Work began right away and I dove right in. I've already learned a lot and am excited to get back in there tomorrow. Actually, we're going to Peoria for 3 inspections tomorrow so we'll be working on the road. I'll also get my school books tomorrow. Classes start next Monday. I'm a little nervous for that. I haven't been in school for 7 years but it's like riding a bike I guess.
