Are you all shocked??? Yes, I am back and ready to BLOG! LOL It's been way too long. It's amazing what happens when you move your slow ass computer up to your main living room and hook up the laptop which actually runs at a "normal" pace. Note to self....save some money to buy a new computer! Anyways, I'm sad I haven't kept up with this. I was reading back through all my past entries and was dissapointed I missed out writing about the past year. So, half way through 2010 I have a 1/2 year resolution to start back up and keep it up!So many events and exciting things have happened this past year but I'm only going to start writing about things moving forward from today. First and foremost, tomorrow is my last day working for the County as a GIS Specialist. I gave my 2 weeks notice and am going to work for our family business Sweenz, Inc. I am SO excited for this new journey of my life and remain very optomistic that we will succeed. I also look forward to a better quality of life where I get to spend more time with my family and actually get to go on vacation! You can bet that I will be working my arse off!! I'm also excited to work with my husband. I don't think many couples could do this but I know we can. We are a great team and compliment each other well. What an awesome journey this will be!
Luc starts 1st grade next Wednesday. He is so ready to go back to school and see all his friends. He's been talking about it for weeks and counting down the days. He is growing so tall and I can't believe he'll be 7 in a few months. So many people told me that when you had kids time would fly. My goodness they were right. It's insanely fast. He is an amazing athlete already. It just comes naturally to him and he has been on a kick lately to try hockey again. He is a very sweet and loving kid and still occasionally will cuddle with me which I secretly wish would never end :)Grandma and Grandpop Owens took the boys to buy new school shoes today. Luc got a super cool pair of black tennies and can't wait to wear them tomorrow. I'm waiting for the day where his feet hit a growth spurt. Many of his friends wear 2's or 3's and he's still in a 13 1/2. I've heard horror stories of kids growing 3-4 sizes in the course of months. Eeek!
Mitchell starts pre-K next week. My little one is 4 1/2 now. Doesn't seem possible. He's growing like a weed too. He is constantly making up songs and NEVER stops talking! :) He definitely gets his gift of gab from his father. HAHAHA He has become obsessed with frogs over the past year and has a nice growing collection. His room was painted "kermit" green earlier this year too. He loves the color green with a passion. He is a very happy little guy and makes friends easily. He got a new pair of shoes today too and can't wait to wear them tomorrow!
Stay tuned....more to come!
