It is so cold outside...UGH!

It is literally FREEZING outside. Last time I checked it was 4 degrees and the windchill was -22. I stuck my head outside to check it out and won't be doing that again! We had an ice storm last Thursday and it is so cold that the ice is still around. I believe we got 1/3 of an inch. It's on everything. We have a birch tree next to our house that is probably about 5 feet taller than our house. There is so much ice on it that it has nearly fallen over. I took the pics below so you can see. The wind is so strong today that the branches sound like glass. It's the craziest sound!

To all of you living in the "warmer southern" states, I'm very jealous right now cause this is the pits!!

Christmas Concert

Luc's pre-school had it's annual Christmas Concert last Monday evening. Luc's Pre-K class sang 3 songs and did a fantastic job. Our little man is such a ham. He is definitely a leader and you could hear his voice above all the others. He has a great class and two great teachers that really work with the kids. We have seen such amazing changes in him since beginning Pre-K. Below are some pictures from that night. The first is of Luc and his new girlfriend Charli. Mitchell was funny and tried to push her out of the way! The second picture is of his class singing and the third is a picture of how handsome Luc looked that eveining!!! Enjoy!

Shiner

Mitchell got his first black eye this week. He was at the sitters and was teasing one of the little girls and she picked up a toy and hit him in the eye! Poor kiddo. His eye was so swollen when I picked him up. Of course I had to take a picture to monument this occassion. It looks much better now, only a little scab on the side. Having two little boys that fight often, I'm sure this is the first of many more to come unfortunately.

Snow Fun

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we got 8 inches of snow! Me and the boys headed outside around 9am to play. Lots of the boys friends were outside playing and they had a blast. They helped build a snowman, made snow angels and threw lots of snowballs. Mitchell had a lot of fun this year. Last year I think he was still too little but this year he could keep up with the big kids! Here are some pics from our fun day!

Potty Update

Ok, so last Friday (4 days ago) was by far the worst day for The Mitchell man on the potty. We ended up with 13 accidents, a grumpy daddy, a mommy ready to pull her hair out, and a big brother sad because we weren't paying much attention to him. It was a very, Very, VERY long day. Well, thank goodness that Saturday went better. 5 accidents on Saturday plus a poopy in the potty! YEAH! Sunday we had 3 accidents. Monday was the first day to the sitters since the potty training started. I gave Shelly a call and explained how things had been going. We both really didn't know what to expect. I called around lunch time and NO accidents! Jason picked him up and he had had NO accidents all day! YEAH MITCHELL! We even made it through the night! YEAH! We reached a new milestone :) I am so proud of Mitchell. He is doing so well! Today he did great as well. He had 1 pee accident at Shellys and none at home. PLUS...he pooped in the potty again tonight!! Who would have thought he would be doing this well after "Black Friday". That day will forever be called Black Friday to me, firstly because it really was Black Friday but also because it was the day I thought the potty accidents would never ever end. It was a peeing pooping nightmare!
