What an AMAZING day!!! Left about 11am from Danvers. On the way I posted on Facebook that we were going to the game and about 30 minutes later I get a message from one of my best and oldest friends Christa that they got tickets too...AND...were sitting 3 sections away from us! SMALL WORLD! We were thinking about the odds of something like this happening. One in a million? ten million? So crazy. They live in Rockford so we stopped on the way up and had lunch with them. Then we were off. Wisconsin is a really pretty state. Lots of trees and open areas. I really liked it a lot. As we got to Green Bay we turned from the highway onto Lombardi Avenue and the stadium hit us like a monalith in the middle of a tiny town. Both of us at the same time said "WHOA!!!!!!!!" Not only were we excited but now we were REALLY excited. We parked a long ways away to keep it cheep and headed to the stadium. We got in at 6pm so we had an hour before game time to check things out. What an awesome stadium! It has such a college atomosphere and everyone was overly friendly. The nicest people and fans I have ever met....and I've been a lot of places in the world. It made everything that much more enjoyable. We also loved the Northern accents. About halfway through the game Jason and I found ourselves talking like them and not even trying too. We were cracking up at each other. So funny ay? LOL Ok, we're total dorks, but if you're reading this you already know that :-D We went and found our seats. 23rd row! HOLY you know what! We could see everything. They were unbelievable seats. When we got to our seats, warm up was ending so we just happened to be right next to the tunnel the Colts used to enter and leave the field. So I walked over and hung my arm over the railing (so they could see I was a Colts fan...duh! haha) and watched them all walk in. Jim Caldwell even looked RIGHT at me!! So COOL! So we're sitting there watching things for awhile and then I see the coaches come back out of the tunnel, so I know the Colts will be coming out soon. I want to take pictures of course so I go back over and stand by the tunnel. Jason tells me to go down to the first row and take pictures so I do. WOW!!!!!

and double WOW!!!!!

That is probably the closest I will ever come to the Colts players (and Peyton Manning hee hee) and I was literally shaking! I just love these two pictures!!

So, I know I've been rambling on and on but this was truely one of the most exciting things I've ever done and one day that I will never forget. Jason and I had so much fun and both agreed that this was one thing that could be checked off our bucket list. Not too many people in the world can say they've been to Lambeau Field! The weather was perfect too. 75 when we got there and 61 when we left. Christa and Doug lelt us crash at their place in Rockford and we were so thankful to them for that. We got back at 2am and just crashed. It was much needed!! Many many thanks to my sister Ruth for coming down from Chicago to watch and stay with the kids overnight. Not only were they thrilled to spend time with her but we were thrilled to be able to do this. And many thanks to my brother Andy for coming out that night to "protect" her. LOL! Love you guys so much!
