Christmas 2008

What a wonderful Christmas we had this year. The boys were so excited! Luc really understood this year about Santa and asked a ton of questions. The most important questions was "How does Santa get into our house since we have a tiny chimney?" The boys had a lot of fun decorating the tree. We had at least 30 ornaments on the bottom 1/3 of our tree :) Jason talked me into buying an artificial tree this year. This was EXTREMELY hard for me considering I grew up with real trees my entire life. But, I agreed and even though I missed the snow, I sure didn't miss vacuuming needles and watering every day. Plus, it was nice to keep the tree up more than 2 weeks. I guess I can live with it :)
We took the boys to church Christmas Eve this year and they did very well. We got home around 9pm and put the boys to bed. Santa can't come when little boys are still awake. I woke up at 7am, Luc at 7:15 and Mitchell at 7:30. We snuck downstairs to see if Santa had came and HE DID! The boys were so excited. They went upstairs and woke Jason up and then we waited until 8am when the Owens clan arrived. Then the present opening began. Luc was hilarious this year giving us the play by play of each of his gifts, what they were, what they could do, and how excited he was that he now had it! His hits this year were the Razor scooter and his Leapster. Mitchell had a blast too. Each gift he unwrapped had to be imediately opened and played with. His hits were his kitchen set, Thomas the Train table, and Leapster. After the gifts we all at the yummy caseroles my mom made (a tradition on my side of the family) and then opened our secret santa gifts.
Later that afternoon, Grandma & Grandpa Sweeney came over with another car load of gifts for the kiddoes. We were so happy that they came and the boys enjoyed seeing them and opening more gifts.
Here are some pictures from Christmas day. Oh, and yeah, I bought Jason a JETS Favre shirt and he bought me a Peyton Manning jersey(my boyfriend as Jay calls him). LOL!
